Your role
As Senior Monetary and Financial Policy Analyst, you will be a cornerstone of EMPN’s growing Brussels team. Working closely with the Managing Director and EMPN’s Monetary Policy Expert Panel, you will help shape EU monetary debates through rigorous analysis, strategic outreach, and cross-border coordination. The role requires self-drive, vision, and experience in central banks, EU institutions, public administration, academia, or think tanks, as well as strong familiarity with monetary policy and/or financial markets and regulation. You will report directly to the Managing Director and be supported by staff in Berlin and Brussels as the organisation grows.

- Coordination – Organise and coordinate the work of the EMPN Monetary Policy Expert Group, including workshops and public events. Liaise closely with our lead experts to support the development of publications – including publications for the European Parliament’s Monetary Dialogue – and related work on monetary transmission, financial markets, and EU financial architecture.
- Research – Lead the development of EMPN’s research agenda on monetary and financial policy, including the assessment of the ECB’s policy stance and its transmission through financial markets to firms and governments. The role involves shaping research agenda and policy debates on issues such as financial conditions, inflation dynamics, euro internationalisation, the digital euro, and other questions at the intersection of monetary policy, financial markets, and EU financial architecture.
- Advocacy – Work with EMPN teams and partners on topics at the intersection of monetary, fiscal, and energy policy, including issues related to financial markets, financial regulation, and the mobilisation of private capital for investment. Build relationships with ECB officials, ECON MEPs, financial market participants, and relevant Commission officials to increase the impact of the EMPN’s work.
